Day 1: North Dakota to Roseville, MN

Sept. 17, 2018

Your adventure filled fall journey begins today as we depart from Bismarck, North Dakota. Tonight, we stop in Roseville, MN for our welcome dinner and overnight. (D)

Day 2: Roseville, MN to Portage, IN

Sept. 18, 2018

After breakfast at the hotel, we continue on our journey. We stop at Portage, Indiana, this evening for our overnight. Attention guys– Bass Pro Shop is just down the street! (CB)

Day 3: Portage, IN to Cranberry Township, PA

Sept. 19, 2018

We travel to Ohio and visit Sauder Village, Ohio’s largest living history village. Visit at your leisure with costumed guides and working craftsmen in the historic homes & shops. An all-you-can eat lunch buffet is included at the Barn Restaurant, originally built in 1861! After lunch, we continue on to Pennsylvania for our overnight. (CB, L)

Day 4: Cranberry Township to Lancaster, PA

Sept. 20, 2018

Today we travel to Amish Country in Pennsylvania. Enjoy a delicious homemade Pennsylvania Dutch family-style lunch, followed by a tour of an Old Order Amish Homestead, Amish farmlands tour, and F/X Theatre presentation, “Jacob’s Choice.” (CB, L)

Day 5: Lancaster, PA to New York City

Sept. 21, 2018

Our destination today is New York City. Late morning we will board a ferry at Liberty State Park, located near Jersey City, NJ, to visit Ellis Island & the Statue of Liberty. Our home for the next two nights is in the heart of Midtown Manhattan!  You will have the evening free to explore the sights and sounds of Midtown Manhattan on your own. (CB)

Day 6: New York City

Sept. 22, 2018

A local guide joins us for a 4-hour tour of New York City. Following our tour we will visit the 9/11 Memorial Museum & Memorial Plaza which displays artifacts associated with the events of 9/11, while presenting stories of loss and recovery from that life changing day in 2001.  This evening  we will attend a Broadway show.  

Day 7: New York City to Braintree, MA

Sept. 23, 2018

Today we travel to Plymouth, MA, and experience the Pilgrims life at Plimoth Plantation. Travel back to the year 1627, seven years after the voyage of the Mayflower. Our home for the next two nights is in the Boston, MA area. 

Day 8: Boston, MA

Sept. 24, 2018

This morning we visit the JFK Library & Museum. Lunch is included today at  America’s oldest restaurant, the Union Oyster House, established in 1826! After lunch, a step-on guide joins us on our motor coach for a Boston City Tour. This evening, you’ll have time to explore Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall for shopping and dinner on your own. (CB, L)

Day 9: Braintree, MA to Ellsworth, ME

Sept. 25, 2018

This morning, depart Massachusetts and travel to Maine. Our destination today is the Bar Harbor area, where we will tour spectacular Acadia National Park. A traditional Lobster Bake, featuring a whole Maine lobster, is included tonight at the Bar Harbor Club. (CB, D) 

Day 10: Ellsworth, ME, to Littleton, NH

Sept. 26, 2018

Today we head to Vermont. After a soup & sandwich buffet lunch, we ride the Mt. Washington Cog Railway to the top of  Mt. Washington, where the spectacular scenery  of New England will spread out before us. (CB, L) 

Day 11: Littleton to South Burlington, VT

Sept. 27, 2018

Today we visit Maple Grove Farms Maple Sugar Factory. We also travel to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill where we will hear a brief history, see a cider press at work and get a sample of fresh apple cider! After lunch, we continue on to Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory, where we start with a short “moo-vie,” then visit the production room, learn about their manufacturing process and sample their Flavor of the Day! Next, we visit the Cabot Annex Store, where you will find many local Vermont items such as Cabot Cheese, Snow Farm Wine, Lake Champlain Chocolates, Green Mountain Coffee, and Vermont-made crafts. Day 12: South Burlington, VT to Watertown, NY

Sept. 28, 2018

We travel to New York State to Alexandria Bay on the St. Lawrence Seaway. This afternoon, we board Uncle Sam’s Boat for a narrated 2  1/2 hour Two-Nation Cruise of the 1000 Islands, including a stop at the romantic Boldt Castle on Heart Island. (CB)

Day 13: Watertown to Niagara Falls, NY

Sept. 29, 2018

Our travels continue west through New York to Niagara Falls. Enjoy an up-close view of the falls on the famous Maid of the Mist boat tour. The evening is free to explore on your own. (CB) 

Day 14: Niagara Falls, NY to Frankenmuth, MI

Sept. 30, 2018

After breakfast, we continue west to historic Frankenmuth, Michigan’s “Little Bavaria.” Dinner is included at the world famous Zehnder’s Restaurant, where hospitality abounds as you dine on their traditional family-style chicken dinner! (B, D) 

Day 15: Frankenmuth to Mackinaw City, MI

Oct. 1, 2018

We depart for northern Michigan this morning. This afternoon, we board a ferry for quaint and delightful Mackinac Island. Upon arrival, we enjoy a nostalgic adventure as we tour the island in horse-drawn carriages! After some time for shopping, we return to Mackinaw City for our overnight. (CB) 

Day 16: Mackinaw City, MI to Eau Claire, WI

Oct. 2, 2018

We travel through colorful Wisconsin to Eau Claire. This evening a farewell dinner will be hosted by Direct Travel/Satrom Tours. (CB, D) 

Day 17: Eau Claire, WI to North Dakota

Oct. 3, 2018

We return to our home cities this morning. (B)

Rates are per person and based on double occupancy.

Deposit: $500.00 per person at time of reservation

Final Payment Due: August 1, 2018

For an additional charge of $50/person, you can add a shuttle pick-up from Dickinson, ND. (minimum of 8 people needed)  


Tipping: recommended amount for tipping escort and driver is $3– 5 per person, per day.

Cancellation:  Tour is fully refundable if cancelled 45 days prior to departure. Within 45 days, refunded only if space is resold. All cancellations are subject to a $50 administrative fee per person.
