Joe Satrom has been involved in the travel industry in some capacity for three decades. He is a graduate of North Dakota State University. He served as North Dakota Tourism Director in the 1970s and was on the National Board of Travel Industry of America and the Old West Regional Commission. He also was awarded the state's highest tourism honor, the Greater North Dakota Association's Tourism Award. He served as the Friendship Force Chairperson for North Dakota and organized the first exchange visit between Bismarck and Hamburg, Germany. Joe currently serves on a policy committee for the National Tourism Association. He served as the first Chairman of the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation. He served as TRMF Chairman a second time and retired from the board in 2006. He was a delegate to a White House Conference on Tourism. Joe is a member of the Board of Directors of Satrom Travel & Tour.

Katherine has been in the field of travel for three decades. A graduate of North Dakota State University, she holds a Master's Degree from Northwestern University. In addition to travel, her past experience includes administrative positions with the University of Mary and the North Dakota State Government, involving communications, marketing and advertising, administration, and coordination of human resources. She has served on the Old West Regional Commission Advisory Committee on Tourism, the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber of Commerce board and the state board of the North Dakota Chamber of Commerce. She also was a delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business and has served on the Aviation Committee of the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber of Commerce. She is on the Board of the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation.

Arrive in the New York City area mid-afternoon and transfer by motor coach to your midtown Manhattan hotel, which is just blocks from Central Park, and a short walk from Times Square and 5th Avenue, in the middle of it all!
This evening, you have the option to join your Satrom hosts for an orientation walk to Fifth Avenue and the Rockefeller Center area. Points of interest in route include St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, Tiffany’s, Saks 5th Ave and more! The rest of your evening is free to explore the wonders of midtown Manhattan. You can choose to skip this and take in an optional Broadway show.
After breakfast this morning, enjoy a New York City tour by motor coach. Our step on guide will point out sights along the way including Lincoln Center, Harlem, Flatiron District, and more! Enjoy a photo stop in Central Park and a brief facility and snack stop at Chelsea Market. The tour concludes at the 9/11 Memorial Plaza & Museum where you will take a self-guided tour of the reflecting pools, and the 9/11 Museum.
Late afternoon, return to hotel for free time to explore more of NYC, take a carriage ride in Central Park, shop, rest or have dinner.
Tonight, join your Satrom host for the 20-minute walk to Lincoln Center. Enjoy a performance of the Christmas classic, “The Nutcracker!” George Balanchine’s timeless tale of a little girl and her Nutcracker doll features a Christmas tree that grows from 12 feet to 40 feet tall, 90 dancers and dazzling effects that makes each performance magical!
Your day is free to continue exploring, shopping and sightseeing after breakfast.
As a pre-booked option, your hosts will take you via subway to Battery Park, where you board the ferry for the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island!
This afternoon, see a matinee Broadway performance or take the subway to Macy’s and the Empire State Building, the Museum of Natural History and other New York attractions.
This evening, enjoy dinner on your own before joining your hosts for a walk to the theatre district for a Broadway musical.
After breakfast, meet your hosts in the lobby and walk to the landmark Radio City Music Hall for the morning performance of the “Radio City Christmas Spectacular,” featuring the Radio City Rockettes! Celebrate the magic of Christmas with a 3D ride through New York City from the North Pole, Santa and his reindeer, ice skaters, dancing teddy bears and a live nativity!
After the performance, make your way at leisure to the Brasserie 8 1/2 on West 57th St for brunch. The rest of your afternoon & evening are at your leisure. Perhaps you’ll choose to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, Union Square Christmas Market, the USS Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, or take in another Broadway show, the possibilities are endless!
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning. Catch a live performance of your favorite talk show, on your own, take a free guided tour of Central Park, do last-minute shopping and enjoy lunch on your own as you say goodbye to the many sights & sounds of the Big Apple.
Early afternoon transfer from our hotel back to the airport for our return flights home.
